Anton has been promoted to Project Geologist/Hydrogeologist!

Anton started at AESI nearly eight years ago in the Kirkland office and spent his first (many) months testing bioretention facilities as part of Jenny’s Ecology-funded project (sound familiar Alex J.?). Anton quickly developed into a reliable field geologist and eventually moved to the Everett/Mount Vernon office where he has been handling nearly all drilling, digging and sampling for AESI’s hydro projects in the North Sound. In the past year, Anton has excelled with additional responsibilities including project scoping, budgeting, invoicing, and client and subcontractor communications. Anton also recently passed his L.Hg. exam.

Stephen Siebert, PE

Senior Associate Engineer

Steve has been with AESI since 2014, in that time he has taken the lead of our peer review group. He provides valuable oversite to many of our city clients. Steve is also the project manager on some of our larger and more high-profile school projects.

He also helps homeowners navigate the unexpected challenges they may face when coming up against local permitting. This gives our single-family residence clients piece of mind as they explore unknown territory. He also mentors our beginning engineers and geologist on what makes a successful consultant and how to write a fantastic field report.

Steve is an excellent co-worker and a go to guy in our Geotechnical department.

Katie Faber

Senior Staff Water Resources Scientist

Katie started at AESI 4 years ago as admin support and technical editing in our Mount Vernon office. Two years ago, she joined our Hydro group and has quickly become an expert in water rights. Katie is providing water rights support for dozens of clients in Whatcom County as the general water rights adjudication in the Nooksack basin looms and commonly leads meetings with clients and attorneys to discuss water rights strategies to meet their needs. She tracks all of our north-end routine water resources monitoring projects to make sure quarterly, semi-annual, annual, and bi-annual reports get submitted to various regulatory agencies in a timely manner. Katie regularly attends Ecology’s Water Resources Advisory Committee (WRAC) meetings and reports back to the Hydro group on the key topics discussed.
